Governor Cuomo and Rita Glavin – Next Steps (from the last briefing)

What are are the next steps Governor Cuomo will take as per Rita Glavin’s latest briefing?  This is just a quick summary of the latest briefing – and what the press isn’t telling you.

Nobody in the media asked the AG for any of the evidence and just reported what the AG said.

Between Aug 3 and Oct 29, the AG wouldn’t release any evidence so that Cuomo could properly respond to the Assembly. On Oct 29th, after Sheriff Apple filed criminal charges,  James announced her run for governor. She did not want questions, nor did she want Glavin to see the evidence which contradicted the findings.

Tish hasn’t responded to any of the requests. She is the chief legal officer of the state but hasn’t given over any of the evidence, she won’t answer Rita Glavin’s  letters.  James publicly dismissed valid concerns. When Rita gave facts and evidence, Tish referred to them as “facts, lies and conspiracy theories”. When they submitted 150 pages pointing out emissions and contradictions, she called it a charade.

Why wouldn’t the assembly give the evidence along with the AG?

Tish said the DA’s asked her not to release the transcripts due to investigatons.  But then she released SOME of the transcripts even though the investigations were still pending. Two tranches did not include the exculpatory evidence, those were released after she announced her campaign for governor.  These include evidence from Matt McGrath, one of the accusers husbands, and the head of security detail.

The NYAG misused state resources for political gain.

179 people interviewed, we have only seen transcripts for 41. Glavin and Cuomo finally received some memos when Sheriff Apple filed. There are 74,000 docs, but the AG won’t give them to Glavin.

Why would you do this? You do this so the press will run a story on it.

Hint- it was that kind of relationship. Boylan denied having a sexual encounter with Howard Zemsky. Howard said that in late 2017 he did have a sexual encounter with Boylan. As he was married, this was not something he would share easily.  But the AG withheld this from the report and initial evidence. Boylan was not called back in for reexamination as she should have been. There was evidence of witness tampering. Boylan threatened to destroy another’ witness’s life.

Witness 1 worked for Boylan for year and they were close friends. She told the AG she was surprised at the allegations against Gov. Cuomo as they had never been mentioned before and that she and Boylan had the kind of relationship that she would have told her about them. Why did these threats go ignored in the report? Why didn’t the AG ask Boylan about them? It was part of her job.

The AG Investigators caught Alyssa McGrath in a lie under oath. She said she felt she had to say her comments as per the slide (“I’m officially jealous”)  as “he asked her to send it to me” and it was in real time and didn’t want to be rude. “How did you know that he asked her to send you the picture.” “I knew after the fact when she told me.”  They were questioning McGrath, they caught her in a lie, yet they ignored it and considered her credible.

The AG Report doesn’t mention her (ex) husband’s testimony, where he makes it clear that McGrath had photos of the governor.

The investigators gave Commisso over 5 opportunities to fix her testimony!

Why wasn’t this explored? Why were the best friends (Alyssa McGrath and Brittany Commisso) not asked what they were discussing? Did they discuss what they were going to say during the under the oath interviews? Why different stories?  Again, the AG did not follow up on contradictory evidence.

NEXT STEPS

The AG was protecting her report. The Assembly never told them how many people they interviewed. They piggybacked the AG’s report.

They will be looking at the DA’s office to do a criminal investigation. They are also renewing a request to investigate Sheriff Apple.
